On the jobsite this week, talking about how we use our homes today…”I don’t know anyone who lives in their living room anymore” was responded to by “yeah, unless their office is in the living room”.
Think creatively about the (often) front room of your house- an office or library may be the best way to use the space. Make it and your whole place work for you and the way you live.

Grab bars 2.0

Grab bars have been considered a necessary evil- to be avoided if possible due to their ugly, utlilitarian design.

Ginger, the bath accessory company gingerco.com has changed all that.  Now you can get grab bars that are the same design as your towel bars, etc- so you can prepare for the future without your bath looking like it’s wearing pocket protectors.

Now is the perfect time to do small projects on your home, because you’ll get better service than you would have in YEARS, from suppliers and contractors. Even my contractor friends say supply houses are more attentive to smaller orders. The days of being ignored at the lumber yard are over, ladies (and gentlemen)!
